When the piglets are born and weaned, they often get moved to a two-climate stall, which includes an cover and a heating lamp. When the pigs finally grow to 25-30 kg will they be moved to the finisher stables or sold to other pig producers.
The pigs usually stay in the finisher, until they grow up to 105 kg. This weightgain will take around 5-6 months and after that, they will be sent to slaughtering. Finisher stables can vary in size, depending on how many pigs are grouped together.
If you have limited space options in your stables, it is possible to use our Compact Line pens. Piglets will stay in the same pen from wean until they get sent to slaughtering. The pigs will thereby get mixed and moved less.
